Here's a closer view at our "Ainsley" Bracelet (Right) We usually recommend brides wear the bracelet on the right had for two reasons, one, so it glitters out towards the guest during the ceremony and, two-because you never want any other jewelry competing with The Ring.

Makeup Artist Jasmine Hoffman has a special talent for always picking the perfect lashes! These ones are by SLMissGlam in Dangerously Glam...they feel so luxurious on, if only I really was born with it!

The outfit was designed by Kim Ironmonger of Valencienne Bridal in Toronto. Valencienne is our Toronto retail partner and you can find us there three times a year for our designer attended Trunk Shows. Kim is a magnificent designer and her attention to detail and craftsmanship is enough to make your head spin! A little fun fact about her is that she even designed a wedding dress for Whoppi Goldberg!

Blogger Bride

If you don't already know Jenny from Crazy Style Love, get ready to meet one super stylish woman! One look at her Instagram of daily outfit postings will leave you with some major closet envy...but in a good #wardrobegoals kinda way! So when she came to our shop looking for wedding jewellery, I gotta say the pressure was ON!

I am so happy we were able to find her three beautiful pieces from our collection to go with her multi-color, botanical Theia gown that she will love and cherish forever! Keep scrolling to view our favorite images from Jenny's wedding day and so grateful that she shared even more photos of her sparkling I Do's and experience with us on the blog

I’m so excited to share some photos of the beautiful jewellery I wore on our wedding day. With only two weeks to go before our special day, I was starting to get a little nervous that I hadn’t yet found the perfect pieces to wear. When we were vacationing in Vancouver, a friend suggested I check out the cutest little store called Jeweliette Jewellery, where the owner, Elsa Corsi, makes her own custom, hand-made crystal pieces. As soon as I walked in the store, I felt like I was in sparkle heaven.

The darling Elsa and her beautiful mother were both in the store when I stopped by. Both women were so sweet and lovely. They helped me select the perfect crystal pieces to go with my dress; a gorgeous hair piece, a stunning bracelet and a pair of sparkly earrings. I received so many compliments on my jewellery that day, and I know these are pieces that I will love and cherish forever.

Elsa also makes custom jewellery, however, I found the perfect pieces in her store, so I didn’t have to go that route. But I really do want to treat myself to a custom Elsa Corsi crystal piece in the future. I just love the thought of owning a unique piece of jewellery. Below are a couple of pics I took while visiting her store, and also a close up of the earrings I wore. I’ve also included a photo of an adorable cat taken in the courtyard leading out from her store. This beautiful cat hangs around Elsa’s shop, and it was such a picture perfect moment.

A Visit with #Nadittude (Part 1)

If you can't make jewellery for your friends, who can you make jewellery for? I aways say! So when Nadia Albano asked me to make her a special piece of body jewellery, I jumped at it!

Nadia produces a weekly makeover column in The Province newspaper and is also the owner and operator of Nadia Albano Style Inc., a boutique studio located in Vancouver’s Kitsilano area. If you  follow me on Instagram then you might recognize her work from some of my selfies, as she often does my hair and makeup for special events!

A few weeks back we did a little photoshoot in our shop, which she blogged about, and it was then that I presented her with her piece!

1-37.jpg

This was one of the first pieces that we were able to use our new 'fabric-friendly' crystal chain on, it is sans claws and promises to not catch on clothes-which is a must on a piece like this.

It also looks amazing with the ear climber we made for her previously, doesn't it? Keep scrolling down to the end to see the newest one we designed...it's our new favorite!

"Work, turn to the left, work, now turn to the right! Work, sachey chantey"

And Viola! Here is the final look complete with the newest, Grande Dame of ear climbers! If you are thinking of adding a custom body chain to your wishlist, visit us in shop to start the process!

Thank you so much to Daniella Ciuffa Photography for capturing the moment and to Wardrobe Apparel for the amazing Greta Constantine Dress I was wearing!

At the end of November, we will be hosting a holiday-slash-bridemaids Trunk Show in collaboration with Wardrobe Apparel showcasing selected Greta Constantine pieces in the shop! Stay tuned for more details or email us for your exclusive invite!

One Bride, Two Earrings

Often brides are torn between two different styles of earrings for their wedding day. Usually, it will come down to a either a simple pair speaking to their traditional side or a longer, chandelier style that fulfills all Red Carpet fantasies! Our advice? Get both! And it's not because we just want to sell you another pair, there is an actual reason!

This is especially true when the ceremony takes place earlier in the day or in a church. In the shop we always ask "When would you ever wear the same thing to breakfast that you would to a cocktail party?" Never (we hope!) and certainly not on your most important day!

A classic drop earring like our Three Marquise Post with Beautiful Teardrop is an excellent choice for daytime and beauty photos, as it is enough to be noticed but not too much to take away from the bride herself at that time of day.

Our bride Bonnie chose that style with a bigger Beautiful Teardrop for her first earring, isn't she lovely? We love how she paired it with The Bee Bracelet and a Wider Five Strand Crystal Bracelet we made to fit her exact wrist size.

Here is a close up! That lighting! We have been huge fans of Del Sol Photography in Playa del Carmen ever since we met them for an on location photoshoot with Perfect Weddings Magazine a few years back.  If you are planning a destination wedding, definitely check them out! AND their underwater Trash The Dress sessions....obsessed!

Ok, back to Bonnie now...

Time for the ol' switch-a-roo! For her night time look, Bonnie changed into our Tanya Earring and wore both her Elsa Corsi bracelets stacked together amping up the glam factor!

Picture Perfect! We think what they say is true...blonds and Elsa Corsi brides do have more fun!

Something Old, Something New!

Why not let your Something Old also be your Something New? Here is a special project we did for a bride who really wanted to wear her grandmother's pearl necklace but as a bracelet.

Her wish was our command! There were enough pearls in the necklace to re-string it into three strands and add one of our signature clasps. We can't think of a better way to incorporate a family heirloom into your wedding day style.

Do you have piece that you are considering having re-worked? Please drop us a line or visit us in shop at Jeweliette Jewellery to discuss the possibilities!

Featured Bride: Lara

Whoever says that you'll never wear your wedding jewellery again...was not wearing our jewellery! Our brides LOVE finding occasions to pull out their favorite sparkles and relive the magic of their special day!

Meet Lara! Lara and Tris had a beautiful wedding a few years ago at The Teahouse photographed by Angela Hubbard. We loved her classic bridal style which incorporated pearls and a petite tiara-so Audrey Hepburn!

Photo http://hubbardphotography.com

The necklace was our Petite Jasmine from the Classic Collection, that features three strands of genuine freshwater pearls which we individually knot along with an asymmetrical brooch like detail.

Did we mention Lara also has amazing taste in shoes? Really, with details this beautiful it's no wonder our brides find occasions to wear our jewellery again!

Since Lara's wedding we have spotted her at Diner en Blanc wearing her jewels...

Getting her makeup done at Jasmine Hoffman's pre-Gatsby Party in her jewels...

And enjoying one of our favorite pastimes (drinking champagne!) in her jewels!

See? We hope you won't think of any aspect of your wedding as "just one day"...and the jewellery is one of the few details you can enjoy for many years to come!

We look forward to being part of your wedding story!
